Upcoming Financial Aid Events

Wayne State University's Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (OSFA) has some events coming up that will help you get the "jump" on securing your financial aid for either Spring/Summer 2010 or the 2010-2011 school year. 

Check them out!

Spring Open House
Sunday, March 21st from 1:00-4:00pm at McGregor Conference Center
This event is largely directed at prospective freshmen and transfer students for Fall 2010.  There will be a presentation and question/answer session specifically regarding financial aid, so come and get those questions answered!

March Madness FAFSA Filing Assistance Workshop
Tuesday, March 23rd in the Adamany Undergraduate Library (UGL)
Continuing students are the focus here.  Get help filing your 2010-2011 FAFSA.  Bring all 2009 tax documents, please.

Financial Literacy Event, focusing on Credit Cards
Thursday, April 1st at the Welcome Center
New legislation has been enacted which makes understanding the reality of credit cards and how they should/should not be used to avoid negative consequences for you!

Outstanding Documents Drive
Week of April 12-16, 11:00am - 4:00pm daily, Adamany Undergraduate Library (UGL)
Come and get assistance completing and submitting requested documents to ensure smooth processing.


OSFA has begun processing 2010-2011 FAFSA's.  Any students who have not yet completed the FAFSA for next year should do so and submit all required documents as soon as possible to the OSFA.  Take the time to check Pipeline under the Financial Aid tab to view "My Outstanding Requirements" acccording the academic year that pertains, to make sure you have submitted all requested documentation.


Further, OSFA will begin processing Spring/Summer 2010 aid/loans shortly.  If you are going to be enrolled at least half-time for Sp/Su, you should submit your loan revision request form electronically from the OSFA website to be reviewed and repackaged for Sp/Su.
